She is an
active member of the Lions Club. Dr. Legge lectures to lay
and professional groups on a variety of eye care topics.
Dr. Legge,
and her pet husky Riku, are both certified by Therapy Dog
International for animal assisted therapy, activities, and
educational support. They spend time comforting nursing home
and Alzheimer's care residents, as well as patients at St
Joseph's Medical Center. They also participate in the "Tail
Waggin' Tutors" program which allows children to enhance
their reading skills and self-esteem by reading aloud to
Riku.
Dr. Legge is
available 24/7 for medical eye emergencies.
